Design & Build West Point Commissary Roof Replacement at U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY consists of: |

Furnishing of all roofing design, detailing, technical and administrative specifications for approx. 72,000sf roof.

State Historic Preservation Office approval.

Environmental Protection & Traffic maintenance.

Demolition & removal of existing roofing system, including insulation and all appurtenances to metal deck.

Removal and replacement of damaged existing metal deck.

Removal and replacement of damaged existing coping, flashing, curbing and gutters.

Providing new water-tight roof system and appurtenances, new drain pans and metal flashing.

Equipment: crane, bitumen kettle and storage tank, gravel vacuum, power rippers, generators, roof top kettles, dumpsters and dumpster chutes, power tools and hand tools
Collette Contracting Incorporated provided complete roofing system design & detailing, technical and administrative specifications to the client by taking full design & build responsibility for a fast project completion for approx. 72,000 sf roof area. Roofing is based on modified bitumen roof membrane system complete with mechanically fastened rigid insulation, protective board, multiple ply base sheet and a cap sheet color as approved by the State Historic Preservation Office. Upon installation of roof safety railing, roof ballast gravel is vacuumed, existing roof membrane and insulation removed carefully to metal deck and disposed to state approved disposal site. Damaged existing metal deck, flashing and wood curbing are removed and replaced. Each roofing system component is applied in strict accordance with manufacturer�s recommendations to achieve 20 year warranty. Collette Contracting has assigned a separate Quality Control Officer for continuous quality control. All works are being accomplished on and around occupied commissary areas and active roads, and coordinated works in strict accordance with local and state environmental agencies, as well as strict US Military Academy requirements. Due to close proximity of the food & shopping area, Collette Contracting Incorporated has paid special attention to protect lives and health of employees and other persons by adhering its Health & Safety Plan, COE EM 385-1-1, and OSHA rules and regulations.
Project has been completed 26 days earlier that scheduled date, without any accident and loss time. Collette�s performance on this project has surpassed all contract requirements and exceeded many to the government�s benefit. |
