Collette Contracting was chosen by the client (who is contracted by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to clean up Maywood Superfund Site, which is filled with thorium and other chemicals containing radioactive materials) to design and build a small but intricate on site laboratory building which will serve to analyze the existing soil before it is shipped to fill site. Collette Contracting� s previous performance and reputation on safety and quality has played a major role during the evaluation process.

First Phase of the project, mainly the footing, foundation and slab has been completed months before the schedule, and Collette Contracting is currently reviewing drawings and specifications for the second and final phase of the project.

Safety was number one factor of the overall construction operations due to extremely close proximity to radioactive containing area. Collette Contracting prepared its own Health & Safety regulations specifically designed for this site, and also strictly followed COE� s rules and regulations.

Collette� s performance surpassed contract requirements and exceeded many to the client�s benefit.
