Renovation works included upgrading hangar bay lighting and sprinkler system, demolishing and renovation of latrines, locker rooms and offices. All works accomplished within occupied and active hangars, and coordinated in strict accordance with hangar regulations and operation schedule without interrupting existing hangar and office functions.

Upon award of contract and Notice to Proceed, Collette Contracting Inc. mobilized on site and conducted survey on existing conditions and matched them against construction documents, and immediately informed contracting office for discrepancies. In addition to its contractual obligations, Collette Contracting Inc. also redesigned (at no cost to government) structural system, footings, sprinkler system, metal wall and roof panels, electrical and site works.

New additions to hangars included new administrative offices, storage and receiving areas for both hangars.

The project has been suspended by the government to resolve & correct design deficiencies in the original project design. Collette Contracting provided its consulting services to the government at no cost to expedite the revised design solution.

Once design deficiencies were rectified, all works have been completed and close-out package with as-built drawings were submitted to the client on time within the revised project schedule and completion date. Collette Contracting project performance surpassed all contract requirements and exceeded many to the government�s benefits.
