| Description of Contract Work: |
McKeel Brook Flood Control Project in Dover and Rockaway Townships, NJ inclusive of:
- Extension of the existing 4� x 8� concrete twin box culvert from Berry Street to end of Elm Street in Dover for a length of approximately 1800 LF.
- Installation of new utilities such as water, sewer and storm sewer with associated precast structures.
- Replacement of the two existing detention basin structures at Rockaway Town Square and McKeel Brook.
- Installation of new gabions at McKeel Drive with new landscaping and fencing.
- Replacement of the existing roadway from the corner of Berry and East McFarland Streets to the end of Elm Street with sidewalks and driveway.
- Miscellaneous restorations and landscaping.
- Continuous coordination with above and underground utilities, town officials, schools and residents.
Due to all works performed in extreme close proximity to middle school, and in the residential area, Collette Contracting provided continuous traffic control and 24/7 safety measure throughout the contract period.
This important and high exposure project has been completed 331 days before the contract schedule date, without any accident and loss time.
Collette Contracting�s performance has surpassed all contract requirements and exceeded many to the government�s benefit.
